Meltblown sorbents are constructed from a single layer of polypropylene fiber. Its porous surface wick liquids quickly for fast clean up. Meltblown absorbents, are great entry level sorbents that are ideal for spill clean up. Perfect for marine oil spills as well as land spills. Loose weaved and large diameter fiber exposes more surface area on spill.These hydrophobic fibers repel water (and float) while only absorbing oils and other hydrocarbons. Oil Only absorbent boom has a strong outer mesh that resists snags, while the inner sleeve is UV resistant up to 12 months. Oil only booms are great for absorbing low viscosity oil or fuel without absorbing water. Booms will float indefinitely when fully saturated.
